Aventurine/Goldstone is a man made gemstone. Early monks working at a glass factory near Venice, Italy were practicing alchemy when molten copper accidentally tipped into a molten glass container.

This crystallized into thousands of tiny crystals and formed a melt with golden light sparkles. Though it is not technically a gemstone, it is often referred to as one.

As well as looking magical, these gemstones are told to possess healing and energising properties:

“Turquoise promotes spiritual attunement and enhances communication with the physical and spiritual worlds. It enhances intuition and meditation, releasing old inhibitions to allow creative problem solving.
