These Carob seeds been carefully saved and dried, then packaged up so you can grow your own Carob trees in NZ.

Carob is a long-lived evergreen tree that can grow up to 15m tall. The attractive leaves are ornamental, round, green and glossy.
Carob has edible, bean shaped fruit. This flattened pod can be eaten green and fresh in summer, or picked brown in Autumn to dry and powder, then incorporate into baking.

Note – Carob trees are single sexed and so need both a male and a female tree to produce pods – producing fruit only on the female tree.

Once established they can tolerate cold temperatures down to -5 degrees, so great for your ornamental or home food forest garden throughout New Zealand.
